Una-se a danca para fazer a chuva parar ( movimento-anti-chuva) e envie uma foto, caricatura, desenho para o ar2com com uma critica, sugestao ou solucao para comentar a situacao urbana do rio de janeiro, ou algum outro lugar que voce gostaria.

Fotos devem ser enviadas em JPGs medidas minimas 450px e tamanho maximo 500kb para anti-rain-dance_rio@ar2com.de
Ao enviar voce estara autorizando o seu trabalho a ser publicado no www.blog.ar2com.de. Cada JPG mostrara o autor criador da obra. Links a seu flickr ou outros websites sao tambem bem vindos e tambem seram publicados. O trabalho tera uma licensa nao comercial cc 2010.
Videos so poderam ser aceitos se tiverem maximo 3 minutos e serao “upload” no Vimeo.

Heavy rains are making obvious urban planning mistakes in Rio de Janeiro. Decades of mis-planning are to be paid by the poor. Landslides and flooding are in the news since ever, but recently the number of deaths is increasing too much. Ignorance will not help it anymore. 180 landslides are reported since Monday (reuter).
When will we start to design sustainable infrastructure and help urbanization grow in a healthy way. I believe that people are able to built their homes by themselves; we can see the results. The problem is the missing infrastructure which is a basic need to be served by the city.
I feel extremely sad after having participated at the world urban forum just 2 weeks ago where nothing of that was discussed at all.

Join the anti-rain-dance and send one foto/comic with one sentence to ar2com with a criticism / solution / suggestions / comment about the urban situation in rio de janeiro or elsewhere.

while sending me the JPG you agree that I publish your work on www.blog.ar2com.de. Each JPG will state the author in the caption. Links to your flickr or other sites are welcome and will be published, too. the work will than have a cc-license non-commercial 2010.

The use of all that is too remember the missing basic needs for all inhabitants which is their basic right to the city in a FUNNY, IRONIC way – just a jeitinho brasileiro!

Anti-Rain-Dance.campaign

Gabi Schillig started exploring open systems inspired by Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. Her architecture for the (human) body is taking shapes with the material felt. Objects have a soul, an independent character, and they make us experiment our environment. ‘public receptors’ in New York is the urban enhancement of ‘raum Z E I T kleider’ – two projects by her.

Peter Anderson, a multi-artist now living in Iceland, talks with me about the bonds between spaces and the harsh contrast between summer and winter life in Iceland. His impressive stills of architecture with moving dancers ‘on’ it touched me – and confused me as an architect.

ar2com supported by some dancers and architects will go to Istanbul to produce either a shortfilm or a dance project about ‘how is it communicating across the border: oriental / occidental‘.
We will stay there the whole August (therefore no post during that period).
