I attached for you as well the call for the third issue “copy&paste”.
Gabi Schillig started exploring open systems inspired by Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. Her architecture for the (human) body is taking shapes with the material felt. Objects have a soul, an independent character, and they make us experiment our environment. ‘public receptors’ in New York is the urban enhancement of ‘raum Z E I T kleider’ – two projects by her.
Interesting links PUBLIC RECEPTORS beneath the skin MEDIATING SPACE can be seen at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2009 or ordered at merz&solitude. Additionally to her work the book includes statements by Jean-Baptiste Joly, Johan Bettum, Jessica Blaustein, Peter Cook, Susanne Hauser, Sarah Scatturo, Adi Shamir.
Here I made an interview with Johanna Emge and Florian Siebeck, two students participating at ‘nachts in Darmstadt‘ about guerilla gardening. It is part of their publication ‘nachts in Darmstadt’ with some actions, stories and so on during night time in Darmstadt. The book was promoted with a big party at the Schlosskeller last Saturday.
